Hello

My name is Ian Giblin and I am a Second year Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Cincinnati, studying for a minor in Materials Engineering. I plan on getting my MBA in 5 years through the ACCEND program. I have experienced success so far at UC by making the Dean's list my first three semesters. I enjoy participating in various physical activities such as lacrosse and running. Over the Summer of 2024, I conducted research as a part of the Protege Program at UC for the project labeled the "Design of Alloys for the Circular Economy." During the Fall 2024 Semester, I worked as a Peer TA for the class ENED 1100. Additionally, I am active in my community as a volunteer with both Habitat for Humanity and Meals on Wheels of Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky. Volunteering with these organizations is important to me because Meals on Wheels helped my grandfather when he needed assistance with meals and I want to assist others who have similar needs.

My passions and strengths have led me to pursue a STEM-based career because of my strong problem-solving skills and interest in helping others.
